I read somewhere with wedding photography, the picture taking aspect only makes up about 35% of your business. The rest of the time is made up of “business” things; i.e. for me, a whole bunch of email communication. During my busy season, I simultaneously will be emailing new and prospective clients, finishing up business with past brides, and also talking to brides about their upcoming wedding. It’s all part of the job. Since I’ve been doing this for six years now, I think I’ve encountered just about every type of inquiry you can have but very few stand out. My email communication with Nicole was the exception. From the very first email, I could tell she was excited about her wedding and excited about photography. Since her and Dustin live in Arizona, all of our communication has been over email and she has easilysent some of the nicest and most genuine messages I’ve received.
The day of their wedding was only further affirmation of how excited Nicole was to marry Dustin. She never stopped smiling. It was an absolutely gorgeous day here in Milwaukee as you’ll see in the pictures down by the Art Museum. I think was the first wedding in about three months where I (or the bridal party) didn’t visibly sweat. They exchanged vows at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church and then celebrated at the beautiful Intercontinental hotel.
I really enjoyed this wedding.. I hope you guys do too.
