Kiersten and Mitch met while they were attending Marquette University, during the end of their freshman year. Mitch is totally guilty for stalking this super cute blonde on Facebook before “introducing” himself at a basketball game.  He finally got the courage to ask her out, they attended one of Mitch’s fraternity dances together.

When it was time to propose, Mitch called in the troops. By this, I mean family.  Kiersten is from Houston, Texas so over an Easter weekend, the two flew down to visit family.  To bypass airport security smoothly, Mitch had the ring shipped to Kierstens mom four-months prior. When the whole family was there, Mitch took Kiersten on a walk where he asked her to marry him.  She, of course, said yes.  When they turned around, BOTH of their families were there to witness the surprise.
