We’ve witnessed the full love story of Kim & Ian.  Kind of.  These two met at a past wedding we photographed.  It wasn’t just any wedding.  It was Beth & Joel’s 2014 wedding in Eagle River, Wisconsin. See, Kim and Beth are very good friends. Even years before her own wedding, Beth kept telling Kim a few years that she worked with a really great guy and she thought Kim would be very compatible with. However, Beth only had limited information and had no pictures of Ian to show Kim. When Ian RSVP’d to Beth’s wedding as a solo attendee, she contacted Kim right away to let her know “he will be there.”

Beth was right.  At their open bar wedding, Kim closed the night with a $140 tab because she kept buying shots to have a reason to socialize with Beth’s coworkers. Ian and Kim ended up sitting outside and talked or several hours after the wedding.  When they got back into Milwaukee, Ian took Kim on a date to Crazy Water.  He said, “if the date went well”, he planned to ask Kim for evening coffee or a drink after Crazy Water.  Well, the date went well.  They went to HiHat on Brady Street to close the evening.  It was only fitting we met them at HiHat for a beverage before heading out to their engagement session.
