Allison & Joe are married!

Let me tell you something. There’s something about Allison & Joe. When we met with them in the middle of winter, they beamed at the excitement of planning their wedding. Maybe it was the fresh engagement glow but who cares! Through their planning process, they constantly bounced off each other and made it clear early on that this wedding was a team effort.

On their wedding day, Allison & Joe were cool as cucumbers. If they were nervous, they didn’t show it. On our way up to the First Look, Allison said, “I’m just so excited to see Joey!” Actually, they said they were most surprised by this. Ali said, Someone stole our nerves! We predicted special moments like the ceremony getting clouded by anxiousness but every step felt whimsical. Even the hiccups, one of which we had to help each other through in front of an audience.”

When we asked them what their favorite part of the day was they said, “The Second First Look”. As guests were being seated for dinner, we pulled them outside for some quick photos in the sun. “It felt like our “first look” all over again, only the pressure was off, flower bouquets were replaced with cocktails & we were married!”

All said and done, Allison said, “Picture life 10 days after your wedding when the high is over and the two of you are suddenly back to your normal routine but you’re still replaying your day in your head. Which moments stand out? Focus on creating those, the rest is just details.

Secondly, if the Uttkes are your photographers and/or designers, “In TJ & Shannon we trust” will become a motto to live by during the final weeks of planning.” (come on, as if we could leave this out)

From working with them on their engagement photos, all invitations and paper items, to the actual wedding day, Allison & Joe had this most-fun, energetic, friendly attitude that we just wanted to be around. It was a true honor seeing these two tie the knot!
