Alex & Buddy are married!

Being in the wedding industry for twelve years has allowed us to visit a lot of the local venues. Some of them have gotten many visits from Uttke Photography. However, the Milwaukee Country Club of River Hills is not one of them. Believe it or not, this was our first time at the private club! After speaking with the General Manager, Ann, we learned they do few weddings per year. We’re hoping to return!

Alex’s grandmother, Mimi, has been a member at the Club for a long, long time. Ann spoke of her fondly and every guest was excited to see Mimi or hear stories about her. One of them being: at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, Mimi, who is in her early nineties, asked two of Buddy’s friends if she could kiss them because “she’s never kissed anyone with a beard”. Free smoothes all around!

These two have a few unique connection to us! One: our friend CJ! We photographed CJ and his beautiful wife Rachel’s wedding years ago. CJ works with both Alex & Buddy! That’s right, Alex & Buddy are co-workers! They started working at the same company around the same time and eventually stolen glances turned into more. People often ask us what it’s like working with your life partner. Well, Alex & Buddy get it. It’s great! You literally have your best friend at work! Life cannot get better!
