2013 Year in Review!

share /

Seven years in the books.

Another 22 awesome weddings.  37,000 pages views and between Shannon and I, 50,000+ clicks of the camera.   We attended weddings at some new places like the Villa Terrace, Cuvee, Turner Hall Ballroom, The Pritzlaff, Lake Park Bistro, Leinenkugel’s Brewery, Northpoint Lighthouse, Hotel Metro, and Bacchus.  We even managed to get back to some old favorites like The Intercontinental Hotel, the Wisconsin Club, Marcus Performing Center, and the Zoo.  Our 2014 begins in a few weeks and we are already booked for another 22 weddings.   Plus (a huge plus!), Shannon and I are getting married in February.  Whoa.

From Shannon: “Whether it be for good or bad, one can learn a lot from attending roughly 50 weddings in the past three years.  Aside from learning the ins-and-outs of the wedding industry, we’ve met some truly great people who let us share one of their most memorable days with them.  It really is an honor, and for this I am so grateful. Realizing all I’ve seen is emotional for me.  The truth is, I’m a sucker for weddings.  For example, every time the bride walks down the isle, I tear up.  Sometimes I can hide behind my camera, but other times, bridesmaids and family members catch a glimpse of my red nose and “dusty eyes”.  I don’t mind. I feel lucky to be part of such an emotional day.  We’ve received some of the most rewarding, verbal compliments.  But when a bride and groom has selected TJ and I to be part of their day it’s the most rewarding compliment of all.  Thank you to everyone who put their trust in us, ultimately making our 2013 a success!   The new year brings new experiences, people, places and excitement and I’m already so thrilled.”

So again, thank you for a wonderful year.  We will be forever grateful to the people who let us into their lives.  Enjoy the slideshow!

P.S.  For you music people out there, the first song used is Sight of the Sun by fun.  Song two is Dawned on Me by Wilco and song three is To Love Somebody by Ray Lamontagne and Damien Rice.
