Angie & Emily are married!
When we left Bay View on Saturday morning, the skies were grey. The forecast called for a small chance of rain but nothing serious. We thought, “ah, a little rain is fine”. As the afternoon grew, so did those rain clouds. However, as we talked to Angie upon arrival at the Schlitz Audubon, she said “I’m kind of excited to hear the rain fall on the metal roof!”
Because of the grey forecast, Angie & Emily’s ceremony was held under the verandah. Their intimate group of family and friends sat in beautiful white chairs and watched these two make their so-obvious love into a marriage. The ceremony was their favorite part of the day! Just as Angie predicted, the rain fell hard during this small portion of the day. The rain fell onto the metal roof, creating the sounds you only hear on a white noise machine. Yes – bird chirping included. Their personal vows made all eyes match the rain – not a dry eye in the place! However, their biggest surprise? Emily and Angie made it through without a drop falling! How they did it? We’ll never know.
When we asked Angie & Emily for future wedding couples advice, they said “Don’t stress about the small stuff. Sometimes the best parts of the day come from unplanned nuances.” They also said to “Use the Uttkes”, which we certainly don’t disagree with 🙂
