“North Carolina?! How did you end up getting a wedding in North Carolina” was a common question when I told people where I was going for Memorial Day weekend. Well I should be completely honest.. it started with me criticizing my younger sister, Tracey, a bit. Whenever I make a post, my family always applauds my efforts which I’m truly grateful for. After one post, Tracey sent me a text saying how she particularly liked a picture I took and I asked her why she never “liked” my photography on facebook. Seriously. I’m a great brother. Anyway, to appease her favorite (and only) brother, she liked it for me and my ego was saved. A few minutes later she sent me another text saying that her friend from school asked her about the picture she liked and would probably be emailing me about possibly shooting his wedding.
Enter Sam and Erin. Sam emailed me and asked if I ever heard of the Biltmore Estate and if I wanted to shoot a wedding there. I quickly hopped on the google machine and looked it up. Are you kidding me? Look at that place. If you’re bored, take a look at the history of the Estate. It’s a pretty incredible piece of American history.
Anyway, over Memorial Day weekend, I made the trip down to North Carolina to be a part of their wedding. It was a traditional southern day celebration. Plenty of biscuits, jams, flowers, and overall awesomeness. Erin is the Food Editor for a nationally renowned magazine and you could tell she put her distinctive style all over the wedding. The entire day was very beautiful.
