Stephanie & Carmen are married!

Since Thanksgiving, we have been so excited to share the images from this beautiful, sunny and color-filled day in Puerto Vallarta. We arrived at Hyatt Zita the day before the wedding and quickly got accustomed to the resort. It’s more intimate than most resorts, sits on a private beach and is adorned in colorful patterns and the most gorgeous textures. On the morning of the wedding, we woke to sunshine and it didn’t part us all day. The temperatures were high but with most guests coming from Wisconsin, we welcomed the heat.

The perfectly planned day went right as planned. Stephanie and Carmen were both anxious to see each other for the First Look. They both said this was their favorite part of the day. They said, “For us the first look was one of the most important moments of the day. It was also the only portion of the day you get to spend alone together. The nerves of starting the day and getting ready are gone, you can take a deep breath and focus on what’s really important…. And they’re standing right in front of you!! One of the most amazing feelings that we will never forget!”

Stephanie & Carmen had over 100 guests join them for their Mexico celebration. Not only is that incredible, the fact that it was Thanksgiving weekend is another factor! We’ve never been a part of such a large destination wedding. You know they were surrounded with love. They said, “Celebrating your love and next chapter of your lives together accompanied with spending the day with all your favorite people was one of the most amazing experiences” Stephanie & Carmen’s little girl, Veda (who is just the cutest thing on the planet), was also excited to see mom and dad get married. As the ceremony concluded, Veda watched on from just a few feet. She didn’t want to be held, she just wanted to watch. On the way down the aisle, she clapped and smiled at everyone there.

When we asked Stephanie & Carmen their advice for future couples, they said, “Don’t hold any emotions back/in, allow yourself to embrace all the feels of the day. Don’t forget to thank your guests and family members for attending and tell them, you love them.” “Surround yourself with amazing people, write your speeches down, stay on the dance floor, eat lots of tacos, and be in the moment.”
