Molly & Joe | A Fall Wedding at St James 1868

share /

Molly & Joe are married!

The hardest lesson to learn with weddings is, what happens on your wedding day is out of your control. Especially the weather. There’s no telling Mother Nature what to do or sometimes, even what she’ll do.

During the week of their wedding, Molly & Joe (and all vendors) saw rain was forecasted on their big day. As the week progressed, it was obvious we were not going to be able to avoid it.

When it rains on your wedding day – embrace it! We navigated pockets of sprinkles/downpours the entire day. Don’t let it stop you from getting shots outside. Leading up to the day we saw rain in the forecast and by Thursday, it was clearly going to happen. I quickly overnighted a bunch of clear umbrellas – shout-out Amazon – and told myself we were  just going to have to roll with it.

These two handled the rain like champions. They dodged raindrops by TJ’s guidance and got some really beautiful photographs outside.

To future couples, they said, “Don’t sweat the small stuff! There were multiple components that we stressed and agonized over.. for example; our seating chart. We were so worried about making sure everyone would be seated by someone they knew, but ultimately we learned that people can be way more social than you think. We had so many people come up to us and say how much they enjoyed meeting friends/family from the other side. We laughed about it the day after.. ‘why did we worry about it so much!?’”

Congratulations Molly & Joe!
