Claire & Dan are married!

Hearing Dan describe how Claire & Dan met is burned into my memory. He described beginning classes at Marquette University and meeting his new roommates. He said they went to one of those fairs for new students where you can scout out possible clubs and groups. Dan and his roommates thought, hey let’s join the cheerleading team so we can meet chicks. In comes Claire, who is on the cheerleading team. This was the first time Dan laid eyes on his future wife. From there, he developed a crush and since he didn’t end up trying out for the cheerleading team, used their mutual friends to ultimately land a date with Claire (side note: Dan’s friends tried out and did not make the team). “After a successful beer pong pairing, Claire & Dan chatted through an entire Milwaukee Brewer baseball game. Their first date was frozen yogurt in Wauwatosa.

For their wedding day, Claire & Dan agree their favorite part was the First Look. Claire said, “(it) definitely helped get those pre-wedding jitters out of the way.” They were most surprised with how quickly the day went. They said, “people always say your wedding day goes by so quickly, but we didn’t realize how quickly. However, we did take time as a couple to stop and take in the moment because we knew how important those memories are!”

Planning a wedding can be stressful – especially with a bigger wedding. Claire & Dan decided early on they wanted to do things their own way and we absolutely love them for this. They said, “ultimately it is YOUR day, so do what makes you both happiest. If you are happy then your family and friends will be too!”
