Melissa & Rusty are married!

Nestled away in Winter, Wisconsin is Legacy Lodge. It’s a magical spot right on Barker Lake, just 100 miles south of Duluth.

Between the main lodge and the five cabins onsite, Legacy Lodge was a retreat for all of Melissa & Rusty’s guests. About 40 people escaped to the North Woods for the entire weekend of wedding celebrations!

I loved being surrounded by all of our favorite people who love us most for the whole weekend. I loved our little moments together in between the typical wedding schedule.

Emotions can often sneak up on you on a wedding day because there’s so much going through your mind. But, Melissa & Rusty were like giddy teenagers all day! There were tears (so many tears), ear-to-ear smiles and so much laughter. They prioritized their day together and took all their family and wedding party photographs before the ceremony. They also took some “guilt free” photos after dinner when the sun was setting over the line of pines. Melissa said, “I didn’t really think of how “taking pics” is a great excuse to go off and be together and I loved it.”

And… when we asked Rusty what his favorite part of the day was, he simply said “the entire day!” We loved it too!
