Brad and I have known each other for a good portion of our lives. As our wives found out at their wedding, Brad used to pick me up in his mini-van, we’d crank up Kickstart My Heart by Mötley Crüe and head to golf practice as high schoolers. Every day. Seriously. When Brad proposed to Melissa, it wasn’t soon after he asked me to photograph their wedding. “Of course”, I told him. “Photography is handled”, Brad told Melissa (circa very early 2013). And that was that. Shannon and I finally met Melissa a year and a half later, just five-days before their wedding to discuss all of their details. Melissa confessed that she didn’t quite know if their photographers were legit. After all, Brad “had it handled”. We showed her our website to confirm ourselves.
Saturday, June 14 couldn’t have been a better day for Brad and Melissa to tie-the-knot. There was no rain (the most surprising aspect to Brad) and the sun was shining. After their ceremony in Oconomowoc, the reception was held at the Golden Mast on Okauchee Lake. Melissa couldn’t have been an easier bride to work with. She was overly nice, calm, relaxed. She has even modeled for Milwaukee bridal magazines. Maybe that’s why she wasn’t too worried about the photographer… Anyway, these two rode in on their own private boat and every single one of their guests greeted them – talk about feeling like a rockstar!
Congratulations Brad and Melissa! Here’s how we saw the day:
