McKenna & Jason are married!

In September 2022, we met McKenna & Jason at the Iron Horse before their engagement session. Although TJ met with them earlier for an initial meeting, engagement sessions are really where we get to know couples. We bopped around Milwaukee with these two, left the session more excited for their wedding the following year.

McKenna & Jason expressed how excited they were to get married at Gibson Social Club in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Throughout our meetings, they came to us with ideas and inspiration. They knew exactly what they wanted their wedding day to look like. They knew who was there. They knew it all. They planned it all and it all came together on the day of with the help of 88 Events. Jason said, “Hire a coordination team that helps with set up and take down so you don’t have to worry about that. Having family being able to enjoy the day instead of working is well worth the extra cost!”

With as much planning that went into their day, one thing they didn’t plan was a receiving line. As one started to form after the ceremony, my (Shannon) gut said “I don’t think these two want to do this.” TJ and I pulled them outside for a breather. Both McKenna and Jason said it was their favorite part of the day. They said, “Right after the ceremony when a welcome line was about to form, you pulled us away to be alone and take pictures which was amazing to just be in the moment and be alone.”

They danced the night away with their incredible band, Bluewater Kings. It was an aspect they were so excited about and it all came to fruition!
