Mary & Justin are married!
Can we come right out and say Mary & Justin’s wedding was hands-down one of our all-time favorites. Yep! We’re going there. They’re day was so intimate and so special, it was the highest honor to photograph them. Not only are Mary & Justin themselves super cool (we live in the same neighborhood!), they are so easy-going, kind and funny. The setting was perfect but these two topped the cake!
In the morning, Mary & Justin got ready in different homes both owned by his great-uncle and aunt. The homes are neighbors with a large amount of land surrounding them. This is no typical “family farm”. Both farm homes are straight out of Better Home & Gardens (no exaggeration on that). When it came time for the First Look, Mary ventured over to Justin and we found a cool spot of land hidden behind pines and willow trees.
For their ceremony, they kept it very small and invited only immediate family. The thirteen people in attendance for the ceremony fit under the canopy of an old willow tree. As Mary & Justin exchanged vows, officiated by a very good friend, there were laughs and many tears. They said, saying, “I do!” was their favorite part of the entire day. Mary said, “our ceremony was surreal. Absolutely gorgeous and so meaningful.” It was one of those ceremonies that gave us goosebumps. After their ceremony, the remainder of guests would be cocktailing when they arrived at the “other” barn.
Mary & Justin literally had a one-of-a-kind wedding. They spent countless hours detailing and planning the family barn to become a beautiful spot for dinner and dancing. They strung lights and light candles on four long farm tables. Mary & Justin said it surprised them to see the barn finally all come together. Mary said, “I had a picture in my head but the real thing blew those expectations away!”
This day… we wish we could do it again and again!
