Remember how I said that in 6 years of doing wedding photography, I have yet to be rained out? I could probably count on one hand how many days it has rained this summer too. Well, of those rainy days, I feel like 100% of them have landed on Saturdays that I’ve had weddings. In the past, I’ve had a little bit of rain but it always seemed like we were able to get outside at some point, even if it was just for a few minutes. Maggie and Sean weren’t so lucky though. The ceremony and reception were both held at The Hamilton. It was definitely a cool and unique place to have a wedding. It wasn’t your tradition church and banquet hall wedding. But, as soon as the ceremony ended, the sky opened up and rained, and rained, and rained for about 5 hours. We never stood a chance. Luckily, The Iron Horse hotel was really generous in opening their doors and allowing us to the Library Room to take a few pictures. The rain could have easily dampened the spirits of all but the party went on like it was a perfectly sunny day. It was one of those weddings that didn’t feel like work at all.
