Kim & Kevin are married again!
Right after their fall elopement in 2020, Kim & Kevin moved to Kenya. Yep – Kenya. As one could expect, planning a wedding from halfway around the world had its challenges. It’s a good thing these two are likable and had a team of friends in Milwaukee happy to help them with plans. For example, they got four friends to go to their ice cream tasting for them! I’m sure it was hard to convince them?!
Another challenge… wedding dress shopping!
I spent months looking for a wedding dress in Kenya, I even went to a wedding dress shop in the garage of someone’s house. I ended up buying my wedding dress a week prior to the wedding, my MIL and best friend spent hours cutting tulle. Don’t stress, everything will work out!
Even though it was hard for Kim & Kevin to plan, it seemed like they had so much fun on the day of. First of all, Kim was supposed to walk down the aisle to La Vie En Rose. Unannounced to anyone, Kim changed up the song to My Heart Will Go On. Yes – the Titanic theme song. Titanic is Kevin’s favorite movie. We couldn’t tell if he was laughing or crying as Kim walked down the aisle with her daughter, Avery. They both had the biggest grins. It was magic.
Also! Get this! As if planning a wedding from Kenya wasn’t stressful enough, Kim, Kevin, and Avery moved to Germany just a week after their wedding — and they postponed their wedding twice due to covid! What a time to be alive!
PS – Kim & Kevin’s advice to future couples: Do what makes you happy, don’t overthink every detail, and don’t forget the McNuggets.
Congratulations Kim, Kevin & Avery!
