Kelsey & Mike | A Wedding at The Landing

Kelsey & Mike are married!

This wedding has been a long time coming. Since high school, Mike has had a crush on Kelsey. For good reason, right? She’s a major babe. In school, Kelsey just wanted to be friends though. Mike persisted. “He asked me out so many times, and I always said no.” Shortly after graduation, Kelsey agreed to go on one – and only one – date with Mike. But, Mike had been planning this one date for years.

That was almost eight years ago. On a rainy Saturday in early October, Mike’s favorite part of their wedding day was seeing his bride walk down the aisle. Something he may dreamt of well before Kelsey did! He said, “We’d been planning this day for a few years, and it was just perfect. I tell people now that it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before, and certainly a moment I will never forget.”

When they began planning their wedding day together at The Landing 1841, they focused on each other, their friends and family. Kelsey & Mike said, “The day is too special to be spent worrying if all the details were exactly right. Everything seems to fall into place just as it’s meant to anyway!”

One thing they hadn’t planned for ended up being a favorite part of the day. They had the unique opportunity to read their vows in front of their nearest and dearest – and only them. Some other favorites were the first look, alone time at sunset and dancing the night away.

They did plan for a few special and important details details that were super important to them. Mike wore his grandfather’s cufflinks and Kelsey kept her grandmothers handkerchief in her bouquet. The small details made their big day the best.
