Katie & Matt | A Wedding at the Discovery World Pavilion

share /

Katie & Matt are married!

When I walked into Katie’s room on the morning of their wedding, Katie sweetly smiled at me and said, “Hi Shannon. I didn’t sleep one minute last night.” Her nerves were high and, to be honest, she was pretty nervous for the big day! Working with Tiara from Events to a T saved the day. Tiara talked Katie & Matt into doing a First Look. It wasn’t the initial plan but it certainly helped ease nerves.

Katie & Matt ended up saying it was one of their favorite parts of the entire day. They said:

Do a first look! It was so nice to be able to have that moment together and to be able to hug and kiss and talk to each other. Especially if you’re a nervous bride like I was, I’d recommend it! Also, since that wasn’t the initial plan, we’d also give the advice that it’s ok to change some things on the day based on what you need.

They still smiled and soaked in the moment as Katie walked down the aisle at St. Johns Military Acadamy. Matt said he loved that Katie walked out to What a Wonderful World. They were also both pleasantly surprised with how sweet all the speeches were at Discovery World Pavilion – especially Courtney’s.

Lessons from Katie & Matt: Go with the flow. Wedding days are stressful but with the help around you, they don’t have to be! Have fun and soak in the moments together. And don’t forget to have a Diet Coke or two.

Congratulations Katie & Matt!
