Ilse & Kevin are married!
Sometimes, you find love when you least expect it. When Ilse & Kevin met in 2011, they were attending Pharmacy school at UW-Madison. In March, Kevin quickly developed a crush for Ilse but it took him until November to ask her out on a date. Ilse begrudgingly admits that she was not looking for a relationship and was trying to come up with ways to back out. They walked together down State Street to get Cosi’s, ate, and then walked back to their cars. During the walk to Cosi’s, Ilse was still! trying to figure out how to tell Kevin she wasn’t romantically interested. However, Kevin’s cool and calm demeanor silently won her over (though he was very, very nervous). On the way back to their cars, she realized they were holding hands.
It was at that moment that I realized, “you know.. there might be something here.”
When it came time to plan their wedding, it was important to Ilse & Kevin to keep it small and intimate. They said their favorite part of the day was “being surrounded by the incredible amount of love and happiness that was radiating from everyone on our wedding day. I (Ilse) can’t even put the feeling into words. Almost as good as the feeling of marrying the love of your life”.
