Valentines day of 2012. That is when I received the inquiry from Emily and James about the possibility of photographing her wedding. Fifteen months later, here we are.
We could tell how excited they were for their wedding. They are very good in front of the camera and their excitement for photography always makes us that much more excited to be capturing their day. It was our second time at Turner Hall, which we couldn’t have been happier about. In my opinion, it’s one of the coolest buildings in Milwaukee. With its history, colors, and ambiance, I’m surprised they’re just getting more popular now as a wedding venue. If you haven’t been for a concert or dinner, go.
Emily + James had a wonderful wedding day beginning in the “old chapel” of St Matthews in Oak Creek. At this same church, Emily’s grandparents wed years ago. While they were there in spirit, everyone there could attest at how beautiful Emily looked. After the ceremony, we went to Humboldt park in Bay View and then headed to Turner Hall as there’s never a lack of backdrops. All guests shared in the excitement, dancing and playing homemade yard games that were set on the stage the whole night… or maybe they were up there for the gigantic table of desserts.
Check out their day through our eyes:
