You know how in the movie’s winter is usually portrayed with slow falling snowflakes, people in scarfs drinking coffee, and pretty much just pleasant all around?  Basically it’s summer with winter coats.  Well, Sunday was supposed to be like that.  The forecast was calling for mid-30’s and 1-3″ inches of snow.  Perfect for an engagement session.  When Sunday came around, it was exactly the opposite.  No snow would be falling.  With the winds gusting at 30+ MPH, temperatures with the windchill would not make double digits.   Not exactly ideal for being outside.

Despite that forecast, we all decided it wasn’t “that bad” and we ventured out into downtown Kenosha for our session.  I have to give them a ton of credit.  Ellie and Justin toughed it out for quite a while before we called it quits.  We were freeeeeeeeeeeeezing and we were bundled up a lot more than they were.  At one point near the lake, we all thought we were going to be blown into Lake Michigan.  We joked that we should have just done the engagement session during our initial meeting when it was 80 degrees and sunny.  On Sunday, that weather seemed pretty far away.

Ellie and Justin are getting married down in Kenosha this summer and honestly, even it’s it 15 degrees warmer than it was on Sunday, we’ll be in good shape.  Here’s their session:
