Erin & Chris | Downtown Milwaukee Wedding

Erin & Chris are married! Their downtown Milwaukee wedding was held at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. The celebration continued at the InterContinental Hotel.

So, how did this Wisconsin girl meet the Chicago guy? At English Bar in Chicago at 3am on November 18, 2012. They met and quickly bonded over their mutual love for… the Green Bay Packers, of course. What turned into a bar encounter, turned into the real deal. Years later, the two went to dinner at a restaurant a few blocks from English Bar, then to a hotel afterwards. When they walked into the room filled with flowers, champagne and Chris down on one knee.

Their advice for future brides and grooms is to not let the planning stress you out. “Do everything in advance so you don’t have any running around to do the week of the wedding. Also enjoy your wedding day and take time to yourselves!”

As far as the actual wedding day, church was the highlight for these two. Seeing each other for the first time in the aisle was their favorite part and they were both surprised at how calm they were during the ceremony. They added, “Dancing was really fun. Overall, it was so great to see all of our friends and family, especially the ones we don’t see often.”
