Carrie and Paul were married this fall at 99 Scott Studio in Brooklyn, New York and we were so honored to have photographed them.
On the most beautiful fall weekend in October, Carrie & Paul took over Brooklyn. The weekend started at Fini Pizza with an intimate welcome party for family. The pizza and vibes were flowing!
The wedding day kicked off at 99 Scott Studio where Carrie & Paul each had an incredible and beautiful space to get ready in. They planned it this way! They planned every detail to be perfect. Carrie & Paul said, “Make your wedding day personal – ensure that everything about your wedding (food, music, decor) represents you as a couple. You don’t have to follow tradition, you don’t have to play mainstream music – make sure your wedding day is truly your day, because it’s about the two of you.”
We always aske couples what their favorite part of the wedding day was once it has passed. Carrie wrote this out, and I’d be making a mistake to not share it all.
The wedding day was filled with tons of special moments, it’s hard to choose just one favorite. One of our most memorable includes our first look. Paul and I both agree that it was a very special moment to see each other all dressed up, and transparently, this time together calmed the nerves we had both been feeling all morning. Another favorite part of our wedding day was our after party. One of Paul’s brothers DJ’d, and created a custom playlist suited to our favorite songs, with lots of personal touches. Of course, the whole day having been surrounded by loved ones made everything all the more special.
We loved that Carrie & Paul noted on their ceremony entrance, as it was something we have never seen before. As each person entered the ceremony, the guests cheered. Carrie said it sounded as if the bridesmaids and groomsmen were entering an arena. As Carrie walked in, the guests stood up and watched as she walked down the aisle toward Paul. She smiled her beautiful smile, then said very loudly “you can cheer for me!”… and they did! Carrie & Paul noted, “Everyone was ready to party!“
This trip to Brooklyn to photograph Carrie, Paul and their incredible wedding will not be forgotten. It was a seriously perfect day!
Congratulations Carrie & Paul!
