Amy & Jason | Engine Company #3

share /

Just after the new year, Amy & Jason reached out to us for their May wedding. They had a shorter engagement and knew exactly what they wanted. They were planning a small wedding at Engine Company No. 3, they planned great food and Purple Door desserts. In other words, we fell in love with them over Bloody Marys at Hawthorne Coffee.

Amy & Jason knew exactly what they wanted. They planned the wedding they wanted. They both said, “Don’t worry about the small things!” Amy said, “you won’t even notice them the day of!” And Jason went on to say, “I think the best advice is to not get stressed out on the planning. There will definitely be times where everything is tough and you just wished that you eloped, but in the long run everything will come together. Don’t sweat the small stuff. There are small details and things that will go wrong that you won’t remember from that day. It’s a whirlwind.” Just two peas in a pod.

Their favorite parts of the day were:

  1. Amy’s dance with her dad
  2. The First Look. Amy said, “Do a first look. It was great to have to time together, just the two of us, before things got crazy. And to have the freedom to have real reactions and emotions without friends and family staring you down. :)” And Jason said he really enjoyed having portrait time with Amy before the ceremony.e together, just the two of us, before things got crazy.  And to have the freedom to have real reactions and emotions without friends and family staring you down. 🙂

Without any further ado…

Congratulations Amy & Jason!
