Summer in Milwaukee is the best. It’s the time we all hold in our chilled bodies during winter. It’s the time we all show our bare arms and take a deep breath.

Elizabeth & Jake’s day at St James 1868 felt like the kickoff to that perfect summer weather. After their First Look at St James, we took Elizabeth & Jake to the lakefront to catch some sunshine. The skyline showed off, for sure.

Although the entire day felt perfect, Elizabeth said her favorite part of the day was seeing everything come together. Jake said his favorite part was dancing the night away with is favorite people! Sound By Design had the dance floor absolutely packed. It was so much fun!

These two planned their wedding for over a year — and they planned so much! While Elizabeth was excited to see it all come together, she also gave some great advice to future couples.

Be open to different ideas in the planning stage!

She added, “you might have one idea for how you want/expect things to go, but you might be missing something awesome if you aren’t open!
