Halie & Niko | South Shore Pavilion

Halie and Niko’s wedding day was full of surprises. For one, this was our first Greek Orthodox ceremony! It was held at Niko’s family church in Racine, Kimisis Tis Theotokou. Seriously, so cool. The traditions and energy was a very refreshing way to kick off our season. To Halie’s surprise, Niko gifted her with an extra wedding band while they were still at the altar after the ceremony. It was like putting a cherry on top of the sundae.

Then there was the fog. A beautiful, sunny afternoon in Racine turned into a foggy, cool night in Bayview. Halie said “…(the fog) totally obscured the gorgeous view at South Shore, but made for an awesome ambiance…!”

As far as their favorite parts of the day, Niko said his was “Standing next to Halie on the altar during the ceremony”. You could just tell by the huge smile on this face throughout the entire ceremony. Halie’s was “Sitting at our head table, looking out over all our friends and family and the speeches!”

They also said, “We were so so overwhelmed by the love we felt throughout the whole wedding day! The whole day flew by and we were so so lucky to have amazing people along side of us the whole way! The day went off without a hitch!”

On our end, we’re not surprised this wedding was so awesome. Halie and Niko are to very, very genuinely kind people. We feel so honored to have been a part of their wedding day!
