Newborn photography is traditional to TJ Uttke Photography.  However this post itself is a first; someone other than TJ posting.  People ask me all the time if I had an interest in photography before I started dating TJ.  The answer is yes.  Taking photographs has always been a hobby I enjoyed.  There are thousands of 4×6 Kodaks filling many shoeboxes and albums in my parents basement to prove it.  I took classes in college but never had the “push” until TJ came along.  In the past (almost) two years, I couldn’t have asked for more.   This photo shoot with newborn Savannah was a first for me as I asked TJ to do them solo.  And so I did.  Of course, like any great “boss” would do, he accompanied me to make sure all went well.

Savannah’s mom, Sarah, is a friend and coworker of mine.  Sarah told me she was pregnant well before she could tell other coworkers so I’ve been anxious for this Little One to come along.  Savannah was born two weeks early and couldn’t be cuter.  She might have been the fussiest newborn we’ve ever seen, closing her eyes for seconds here and there.  Finally, when we packed up our gear, she fell right asleep on mom’s lap.. of course.  Welcome Savannah!
