Rosie & Cathal get married in Minnesota!

When Rosie & Cathal got engaged and began planning their own wedding, they realized they didn’t need one. They needed two weddings. Rosie grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Cathal grew up in Arklow, Ireland. They’d celebrate in both hometowns and have two wild weeks with their best friends and families. Cathal said, “Make sure that the people deciding what you do at your wedding is the bride and groom. It’s your day, and if you want two weddings across two continents… have at it!”

Rosie & Cathal attended Sarah & Jake’s wedding in Milwaukee in April of 2018. They remembered us somehow from that crazy day (the weather was so bad – Cathal couldn’t walk on the icy sidewalks)! They reached out to us hoping to get information on Team Uttke covering both weddings. They ended up hiring the same videographer out of Ireland, too! Working with Andrew of Eye Capture Weddings made all of this extra fun. Rosie said, “Get(ing) the same photographers and videographers for both weddings made it feel like one week-long party.”

Cathal’s brother’s speech was his favorite part of the day. He said, “My typically-shy brother, Conor, giving the best speech of the night and somehow making me teary-eyed!” For Rosie, it was “spending time with family and friends, many of who I haven’t seen in a very long time.”

With as much planning for two weddings, some things still surprised them! Cathal said, “I was surprised how much fun I had getting ready in the morning with my mam, brother, and my top pals (#turtles)” For Rosie, it was “after waking up to a thunderstorm, I was surprised how the rain cleared up just in time for our photos.”
