Rebecca & Phil | A Wedding Reception at the Grain Exchange

share /

Rebecca & Phil are married – again!

Last year, Rebecca & Phil celebrated with a small, intimate group of people at their church, followed by Villa Filomena. It was a magical event but it was missing … something. It was missing … everyone! A few weeks ago, they celebrated with all of their friends and family members with a renewal ceremony and reception at Milwaukee’s historic Grain Exchange.

Last year, the world shut down just five weeks before Rebecca & Phil’s original wedding date. They rescheduled not once, not twice but FOUR times. Since mostly all major details were already complete, in 2021, they just had to settle upon the small details. By the time their 2021 date came, they said they “felt like professionals and were more laid back.”

Rebecca & Phil had the unique experience of two wedding days. This meant, they could essentially have two wedding dates and do different things. Their two days were wildly different. Although they went through so much stress (so much!) they chose to look at this optimistically. With such a unique perspective, we asked if they had any advice to offer future couples. They said:

We had the unique opportunity and got to have both a small, intimate wedding and a large bash which we loved so much, but really appreciated the smaller wedding. Our advice to future couples is to think and make the wedding exactly what you want, with the people you want. We really lucked out.

Another thing they did differently between the years was the First Look! In 2020, Rebecca & Phil did not see each other before the ceremony. In 2021, they decided to see each other first.

Our favorite part was the reveal and our solo pictures! Super cheesy, but it was nice to have some quieter, intimate moments before the rush – to take a deep breath and relax with friends before jumping into the party.

Phil, the coolest groom around

Congratulations again, Rebecca & Phil!
We’re so lucky to celebrate with you twice!
