Some couples just get it. Kristen and Andy were one of them. They had the details of the day planned and attitude a photographer dreams of.
When we met them early in the morning, both were relaxed and fondly reminiscing about the evening before. Of all the things they wanted to do that day, seeing each other was on top of that list. They saw each other before the ceremony and after that had plenty of time to soak in one of the most exciting days of their lives. Even then, it never seems like there are enough hours to celebrate.
Kristen and Andy’s entire day took place at the beautifully decorated Pritzlaff here in Milwaukee. K + A said “…we loved the whole day, but I think the overwhelming experience of being able to share this amazing moment in our lives with our closest family and friends, and seeing their love and support was our favorite.” With both families being from Illinois, the entire day had a unique feeling only destination weddings seem to have. The city of Milwaukee put on it’s best face for their wedding day and it certainly did not disappoint. Leading up to the wedding, I knew they were putting in a lot of homework and making DIY projects, like all of their paper goods. Hard work paid off. All of the personal touches made everyone (from in town or out) feel at home with Kristen and Andy.
A special thanks to En Tao for helping me cover Kristen and Andy’s awesome day.

Kristen + Andy’s advice for future couples:
1. In all the stress leading up to the wedding, don’t loose track of the point of the day. All that truly matters is that you’re married, the rest of the details are secondary.
2. I was given this advice and still didn’t quite manage to take it but, try to take a deep breath sometime during the reception and take it all in. Really be present for a moment, because it goes by quickly.
3. Hire a day-of coordinator! Sooo worth it!
