Eryka & Jon got married in the Hyde at St James 1868!

Geometry class… that’s where these two met! There’s a joke in here about love and the relative arrangement of the parts of something. Aside from math, Eryka & Jon planned their wedding day in six-months! They said “If you’re up for it. Do it. It was the best decision ever.” Between all the details they planned, they ended up saying their favorite part of the day was…

They said “easily the company.”

Of course, not everyone could be there. Erykas Grammie and Pop-pop passed away years ago but were very missed and present on the wedding day. They watched their nine children and 60 grand-children celebrate Eryka & Jon from above.

Eryka said, “Something very special about our day, was that when my family was walking in through the courtyard of the St. James, they all noticed something unusual from a very beautiful clean venue. There was a half-smoked cigar sitting perfectly on the hedges in the court yard. Maybe someone put it there,  maybe it was left from the night before who knows. But for all of us that was Pop-pop. He notoriously smoked cigars throughout his life. He used to have this line “I smoke to keep the elephants away.” We were just so glad he could make it.
