Ellie & Johnny | A Winter Wedding at the Milwaukee Art Museum

share /

Ellie & Johnny are married!

There is so much beauty in the winter season. The crisp air, the snow covered trees, those snowfalls with slow moving, big snowflakes (you know what I’m talking about). But happens when the snow hasn’t dropped yet? The air is just … crisp! Thankfully, for Ellie & Johnnys late December wedding date, they were prepared to be outside in the cool air with us. And they rocked it.

The First Look made the most sense for their wedding day because the sunset so early! We were just days away from the winter equinox. So, to get a good headstart on the big day, we spent some time outdoors with Ellie & Johnny. However, despite doing a (really beautiful) First Look, Ellie & Johnny said their favorite part of the day was seeing each other down the aisle.

There is something so memorable about walking down the aisle seeing your soon-to-be spouse surrounded by your closest friends and family.

With major help from Emily at Events to a T, Ellie & Johnny’s winter wedding vision came to life. Ellie said, “Wedding planning can sometimes seem like bunch of ideas in a google drive folder but its a surreal experience to see everything come together that represents you and your partner!”

Remember the “why” behind your day! Especially with the pandemic, things will change from your original plan that is outside of your control and that is ok. Ultimately the day is a celebration of you and your partner beginning a new chapter of your life together. Be flexible, have a good support team (including vendors!) and live in the moment! It goes by so fast!

Congratulations Ellie & Johnny!
