Summers in Milwaukee really are something special. For Ellen & Moises late August wedding, it was one of those days that felt like a movie—full of real, raw emotions and a party that just never stopped. Not to mention, the weather looked fake. It was hot, sunny with a slight breeze. Their wedding day was completely opposite of their engagement photos, which was also a wild weather day in Milwaukee!

Ellen and Moises are one of those couples who just light up when they’re together. Ellen had a surprise for Moises as she walked down the aisle, and his reaction was priceless. She told us, “His look of bewilderment was exactly what I needed in that moment.” It’s likely a moment they’ll never forget.

Their first dance to “Golden Hour” by Kacey Musgraves was everything and felt like it truly fit the day. And speaking of golden hour, their favorite part of the day was the rooftop cocktail hour. The atmosphere was perfect. Everyone was relaxed and enjoyed the incredible views of the city. If you’ve never been to the MAC rooftop, now is the time to sneak up. It’s awesome up there.

Once the cocktail hour wrapped up, it was time to party! The dancing was non-stop with Sound By Design. Ellen and Moises, along with their amazing friends and family, completely took over the dance floor.

When I asked them what advice they’d give to other couples, they said, “Hire a wedding planner!” They couldn’t say enough good things about Jenn from Events to a T, who kept them stress-free the entire day. It really shows how a great team can make all the difference, letting you truly live in the moment.
