It might sound simple, but there’s nothing better than working with couples you can connect with on a genuine level. When you share common interests, morals, and humor, the wedding day gets that much more special—and the photos always shine a little brighter. After our initial meeting with Elizabeth & Mike, TJ came back and told me, “You’re really going to like them.” And it was absolutely true! We loved getting to know these two.

Elizabeth & Mike’s wedding day unfolded on a bright, crisp Friday with absolutely perfect fall weather. For their portraits, we traveled all over Milwaukee: the Iron Horse area, the Third Ward, and Lake Park.

One of their favorite, most unique moments of the day happened during their portrait session at Lake Park Bistro. They had a miniature cocktail hour with their wedding party and family, complete with champagne. As Elizabeth put it, “Just looking around and realizing we were with our absolute favorite people was pretty special.” Those candid moments of joy and relaxation are always the ones we love capturing most.

The reception and ceremony at The Atrium were magical, too! Elizabeth & Mike ditched the traditional layout and planned a beautiful circle ceremony—right under the chandelier and sunlight. It created an intimate atmosphere for their guests. To top it off, Elizabeth’s two brothers officiated the ceremony and completely knocked it out of the park!

Cocktails on the room was like a warm hug! The sunset as guests were mingling, having a great time. While everyone was upstairs, the reception room was transformed into a warm, glowing scene. Everyone was so happy and ready to celebrate these two genuinely wonderful people. What a great day!
