St. James 1868, an old church beautifully restored in 2017 to a European style venue and it was the perfect setting for Shannon & Steve’s wedding day.
Years ago, we had the pleasure of photographing Steve’s brother. When we get to work with repeat families, it feels like you’re getting a big warm hug all day. Their families and guests were so welcoming, but so are Shannon & Steve! From the very beginning, you could feel the genuine connection between these two. They are so kind and caring — it was a treat to be a part of their day.
What truly made their day special was how they made it their own. As they told us, the key to a perfect wedding is to “Make the day what YOU both want it to be—that will really shine through and make it special!” This philosophy was so evident in every detail, big and small.
One of their favorite moments perfectly captured this sentiment: “Looking out over the balcony after dinner with our espresso martinis and taking a moment for just us two.” It was a brief, quiet escape for just the two of them, a chance to take it all in while watching their loved ones laughing and dancing below. It was a beautiful reminder that even in the midst of a huge celebration, the most meaningful moments are the ones you share together.
Congratulations Shannon & Steve!
