Kelsey & Will | A Portland Coast Engagement Session

share /

Kelsey & Will are engaged!

Late last summer, Kelsey & Will moved to Portland, Oregon. They’ve been loving the city and it’s beautiful surrounding area. They hike often and enjoy all the great food Portland has to offer!

On the day of their engagement photos, they picked us up at our hotel at 9AM. The night before, Portland shut down while the residents enjoyed a beautiful snowfall from their windows. We know this because we were one of the only suckers outside, walking through the snowy sidewalks. Anyway, the first snowfall of the year for Portland made for the most beautiful drive to the coast. As we drove, we caught up with Kelsey & Will. They told us about their favorite Portland spots and stories about their relationship. It was like we’d known them for years.

Our first stop was Hug Point State Park. The tide was low so we were able to venture onto the sand and explore the rock formations. Our next stop, for a slight change of scenery, was Oswald West State Park. About a half-mile hike into the forest, we reached the coast where surfers took on the cold waves and did yoga on the shoreline. Then, to top off our incredibly diverse scenery, we stopped off for some fun in the snow.

When you look at this session, you may think to yourself, “wait a minute. This all can’t be in the same day.” But yes, believe it! Kelsey & Will took us to some awesome spots that were simply irresistible for us. Not only that, but they took us to some super unique spots on our way back into town! Cannon Beach, Pelican Brewing Company, an adorable little cafe. And to appease TJ, the beach from Point Break. When we returned into the city, they took us to one of their favorite Thai spots and we shared some fantastic food. We didn’t want the day to end!!

We’re so excited to photograph their upcoming summer wedding. Until you see them again on our blog, fill your eyeballs with all this Portland coast goodness.
