Bailey & Jay are married!
Many moons ago, I (Shannon), worked corporate life. Before transitioning into photography full time, beautiful Miss Bailey was an intern. As soon as we got to know each other, she began following our photography work. She’d say “someday…” Well, someday arrived! It started off with Jays adorable proposal involving macaroons and maybe a slightly hangry Bailey. They decided the Barnsite Retreat in (spooky) Kewaunee, Wisconsin was the perfect spot. After a two-year engagement, we’re so honored to have photographed them on their beautiful wedding day (and engagement photos)!
After a long engagement, the easiest thing to do on your wedding day is relax and soak up all the hard work of planning. Bailey & Jay were both surprised by how smoothly the day went. Honestly, it couldn’t have gone better. Not only planning wise, but the day itself was out of a book. Fog rolled into the bay and created the most beautiful backdrop. If someone asked us if these photos were taken on the coast of Oregon, we could get away with some lies.
With no surprise, Bailey & Jay agreed their favorite part of the day was the First Look. It’s always a very intimate moment and typically the only time couples have to themselves! It really is something to soak in. Bailey & Jay’s first look was along a rocky path along the harbor. The fog was rolling in closer and closer. The moment couldn’t have been more movie-like.
Jay also said seeing Bailey walk down the aisle was one of his favorite moments ( yes – this is still a very special moment even after a First Look). And Bailey said, “dancing, and being surrounded by everyone we love! The speeches were great too!”
Bailey & Jay, congratulations!
