Meet the Uttkes

My photography career began a long time ago. Starting at a young age, my mom gave me the camera on family vacations. For birthdays and gifts, she would often present me with a new film camera. I was always the "one with the camera". During my last year of college, my roommate's wedding photographer backed out. They asked me to photograph and I said "no way". After weeks of convincing, 23-year-old me finally agreed to bring the camera to document their day. It went awfully! But not so bad that another person asked me to document their day. That was over 320 weddings ago.

I used to love Kopps Cheeseburgers until they changed the bun. #bringbackthebun Now, I'm on a hunt for Milwaukee's best burger. Suggestions?

My favorite road trip snack is a can of Coke Classic (no bottles) and string cheese

I love all music except for country. My favorite band changes often.

When we're not working, you can find me fixing up our Town of Lake home. We bought it in 2012 and I'm running out of projects.

I used to work with my families HVAC business.

I have two sisters, I'm in the middle.

When I sat down at that big ol' Mac computer freshman year of high school, I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer. My school had a great program and I advanced in the classes quickly. Graphics Club anyone (nerd alert)? After college graduation, I went on to the corporate world designing for some big local names.

It wasn't hard for TJ to convince me to try photography. As soon as I picked up his camera, we were set. We've been working together since 2011. I left my corporate job in 2014 and have been a full-time photography and graphic designer since.

My current favorite food is a family spaghetti recipe. Although I make it at home, Mom's is always the best.  I also have a major sweet tooth!

My favorite road snack is a Dark Cherry Propel, peanut M&M's and some dill pickle chips. Uncle Rays are the best and I'll debate you on it if.

You'll find a large variety of music on my Spotify playlists ranging from classical, old country to modern rock. George Strait, Vampire Weekend, Lady Gaga. Put anything on except for punk. You can keep your punk music.

In November of 2019, we welcomed Rosie, our daughter! We also have an adopted Shepherd-Lab-Mutt. She's 11-years-old, a cancer survivor and a total boss.

I have two brothers, I'm in the middle.
