Lauren & Ryan | Warner Park Summer Wedding

When we initially talked to Lauren & Ryan, it was over Facetime. Things never go smoothly on Facetime and/or Skype. There’s glitches, broken links, a delay that makes all jokes awkward. We can send a man to the moon in 1969 but Facetime… Facetime in 2019 is still bad.

Point being – when we Facetimed with Lauren & Ryan, it wasn’t awkward. TJ and I hung up and both agreed, “we like them, I hope it all works out!” A few days later, we got the confirmation email that they’d like to hire us.

See, Lauren & Ryan are awesome. They are super chill and down-to-earth. Their day at Warner Park Community Center was planned to be just that. Lauren had her hair and makeup done by her talented bestie, Alyssa. Ryan’s good friend, Steve, played music during the ceremony, Lauren’s mom created all the floral pieces and they had one of their favorite Madison restaurants, Bunkys, cater! They even had a custom bike rack created by family members to surprise them!

We had no idea we were having the “Bicycle Built for Two” photo booth until the morning! Our family members stole (or tried to steal) the tandem bike from our backyard, Lauren’s dad built the supports, and everyone worked together to find outrageous props.

When we asked Lauren & Ryan about their favorite parts of the day, Ryan said it was the ceremony (despite him originally being apprehensive). Lauren said she can remember the First Look in slow motion making it her favorite part of the day.

Lauren & Ryan’s advice to future couples is definitely worth sharing:

When it comes to a budget, everything is going to cost more than what you had planned. Choose to spend your money on the things that really matter. Great food, tasty beverages, and kickass music were SO worth it for us. Find out what matters most and try not to worry too much about the rest.
When it comes to conflict, drama, and challenges.. put that sh!t aside for the day and simply celebrate LOVE… because that’s what this is all about, isn’t it!?
