Laura & John | A Wedding at the Pabst Best Place

Congratulations Laura & John!

On June 3, 2018 we got an inquiry email from Laura & John. They were referred by Laura’s co-worker (also John) and were hoping to chat with us more about photographing their wedding. Their inquiry said “We love being in Milwaukee and beer!” And we were like… “us too, let’s do this.”

Before the meeting with Laura & John, we photographed said co-workers wedding in July. Reception time came and we headed to our table to share dinner with some of the wedding guests. We greeted everyone (I promise you, we’re only a little awkward) and began asking everyone how they knew the wedding couple. The conversation turned one bubbly gal, a huge smile on her face. As if she was holding in air, she blurted out “WE’RE MEETING WITH YOU ON THURSDAY!” We all laughed and the table gave her grief about not being so shy. Right then and there, we knew Laura & John were an awesome couple.

That Thursday came and we enjoyed some beer with them at Third Space Brewing Company. They told us all about their upcoming wedding at the Pabst Best Place. Beer and more beer? Are we getting a reputation?

Their day in February came and the winter winds were quite something. A thick fog rolled in over the lake accompanied by a nice wintery mix of rain and snow. Laura prepared all of her gals with shoes and shawls for portrait time. When we got to the lakefront, nota one complaint (okay, except for one gent who lives in Texas. I would have complained too). These guys were on top it it! Winter who?
