There’s something truly special about a Milwaukee summer, and for Julie and Mitchell, their love story unfolded with all the charm and serendipity the city has to offer. Every moment of their wedding day at The Starling seemed to have a touch of that unique Milwaukee magic that locals know and love.

In a real IYKYK moment, their first kiss was like a scene out of a movie. In true Milwaukee Summer Fashion, a boat honked at the most perfect moment of their first kiss. So many people asked if it was planned – but honestly, it was just pure, unadulterated Milwaukee charm. What happened next? The bridge came up. Of course.

As unique as their first kiss was, it wasn’t their favorite part of the day! Julie & Mitchell said, “sitting together at dinner, just the two of us. Talking, eating, and just taking a breath to be with each other”, was their favorite moment.

Julie & Mitchell found special ways to honor some of their favorite things like friends, the City of Milwaukee, and beer! They even had 1840 Brewery on tap. Sadly, just yesterday 1840 announced they’ll be closing their doors permanently. Julie & Mitchell were so happy 1840 was part of their celebration with table decor and Mitchell’s signature drink pick. It was a beautiful way to pay tribute to a beloved Milwaukee spot.

Julie and Mitchell’s story is a wonderful reminder that love is in the details, the unexpected moments, and the personal touches that make a celebration truly their own.
