Ellie and Justin got married at their church growing up, Trinity Lutheran. Their celebration continued at Circa on Seventh in Kenosha.
When brides and grooms plan a wedding, everyone around them is full of advice. Things to do, things not to do. TJ and I know, as we’ve been there! The married couple in us has one piece of advice (the photographers in us have many others too). And that is: enjoy your day together. The day does go so fast, we think it’s important to take a moment to yourselves and actually breathe. Take in the moment of “hey, this is our wedding day“. We’re happy Ellie and Justin did that. During the reception, they snuck across the street and shared a drink. Ellie said it was her favorite part of the day.
After friends and family gave Ellie and Justin their two cents, here’s one take away: “Enjoy the planning process. Sure, at times you may want it all to be over, and feel so stressed and overwhelmed. But it is over so soon and you will be so happy that YOU planned all the little details and it will make your day so much more special to you both.”
They also said “It was so nice to see family and friends get together; as they shared drinks, laughs and stories. A wedding is the first look at how two families become one, we are so glad that our wedding was so wonderful and it was all because our families and friends made it so amazing.”
TJ and I are ever grateful to be a part of their big day. Their wedding party was awesome, and the two of them… well we couldn’t ask more out of a bride and groom. They baked in the sun, they went in dirty alleys, they sat on the ground in front of a dirty car, they even climbed concrete walls all in the name of photography. They totally trusted us and that’s the biggest compliment we can get. We had a lot of favorite parts of the day but one that stands out is: Ellie and Justin had their grandmothers be the “Flower Grands”. Their three grandmothers all took turns dropping petals in the aisle before Ellie walked down. It was the cutest, most unique twist!
