Cassie & Matt are married!

When Cassie & Matt met at a wedding in seven years ago, they did not hit it off. Actually, Cassie went as far as saying she hated Matt! With some help from their friends and family, they gave it another shot.

Their first official date was hopping around from coffee shop to coffee shop. They didn’t want to linger too long and be “those guests”. Five hours later, they knew their first impressions were wrong. These two have been globetrotting since!

Cassie & Matt’s wedding at The Barn at Wagon Wheel Farm in Burlington was a brunch haven. Their morning ceremony began at 10:30AM, followed by a short cocktail hour full of coffee, mimosas and bloody marys. A huge brunch followed and there wasn’t an empty stomach in the house!

Since their ceremony was so early, Cassie & Matt saw each other for the first time coming down the aisle. They both said this was their favorite part of the day. Matt said, “Not to sound cliche, but seeing Cassie for the first time walking down the aisle. Second was definitely all of the nice things that people said about me during speeches!”

Matt’s advice to future couples should be taken to heart. It was our own personal philosophy too. “Keep it small and intimate if possible. It’s nice to be able to get around to everyone and hopefully make them feel part of your day.” Cassie’s advice is, “I was told to enjoy every moment, take it all in, because it goes so fast. I wish I would have listened to that advice leading up to the day. The day was perfect and it didn’t need any stress beforehand. Enjoy the process because it means in the “end” you’ll marry the person of your dreams, and that’s what it’s all about!
