Marisa & Casey are engaged!

Labor Day weekend of 2019 – these two will seal the deal. They’ve been together for quite some time and are excited at their next adventure. Their wedding at The Rookery is sure to be quite the event!

Marisa & Casey met in college at one of Casey’s house parties. Marisa played bartender and claims to be pretty good at it. However, Casey argues “pouring heavy drinks does not qualify you as a good bartender.” We cannot agree nor disagree with this. All we know is bourbon keeps the cold out.

For their first date Casey took Marisa out in Denver, Colorado to Osteria Marco for pizza and wine with a stop at the speakeasy, Green Russell, for cocktails. This was the first of many Denver food adventures and one of many pizzas they’d share together.

During a recent trip to Italy, where we’re sure they had several glasses of wine and many pizza pies… Casey proposed by Piazzale Michelangelo just in time to catch the hazy light spread out across the skyline. With a few unscripted lines, Casey got down on one knee and asked Marisa to marry him. Marisa says, “The details get a little fuzzy here.” After a morning photo shoot that Casey planned (nice job Casey), they bought a €5 bottle of champagne from a street cart and toasted in plastic cups overlooking the city.  Does it get more romantic than that? Nope. The answer is no.
